  • Do I need to wear a mask at Open Air?
      • Yes. Audience members will be required to wear a mask at all times before, during and after the performances to adhere to state guideline to keep all guests, dancers and staff as safe as possible. This includes guests who are vaccinated.
  • Will I be required to maintain social distance?
    • Yes. Guests in our reserved seating section or in the lawn will be required to maintain a social distance of at least 6 feet. This includes guests who are vaccinated. Reserved seats will be in pods of four and positioned and 6 feet away from other parties.
  • Will there be a place for me to wash my hands?
    • Hand washing stations will be provided for your use. Please observe best practices for hygiene and hand washing while attending Open Air performances.
  • Will seating areas be sanitized between shows?
    • Yes. Staff will be sanitizing all seats and touch points before each performance.
  • Are there restrooms available?
    • Yes. There will be portable restrooms and hand washing stations for patrons. They will be located in a central location on Frew Street at the edge of the park.
  • I made a reservation to a PBT performance, will I need tickets or an order confirmation?
    • There are no physical tickets for PBT performances. Patrons who reserved chairs will check in at a registration table near the stage to be directed to their seats. Patrons who reserved lawn seating may select available space on the lawn upon arrival. Remember to bring a chair or blanket!
  • If there is inclement weather, will PBT have rain dates?
    • No. PBT does not have scheduled rain dates if a performance is cancelled. In the event of a cancellation, updates will be available on pbt.org or PBT’s social media accounts, and patrons with seat reservations will receive an email. You will have the option to exchange your reservation for another PBT performance or receive a full refund (applicable to the purchase of VIP seats).
  • Will food, alcohol or merchandise be sold at the shows?
    • No. Food, merchandise and alcohol sales will not be permitted on-site.
  • Is there free parking?
    • Yes. There are public parking areas along Frew Street. Please note that spaces will be very limited, since it is public street parking. Parking garages are also available within a short walking distance from Flagstaff Hill in Oakland near the University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon University and Carnegie Museums.
  • Will there be a program available?
    • A digital program for PBT’s performances will be available prior to performances here.
  • Will PBT be selling tickets for any other shows in the series?
    • No. Only reservations for PBT performances will be sold through PBT. Each organization participating in Open air is listed on pbt.org/openair. Ticketing information for each organization is available on their website.
  • Are there ADA accommodations available?
    • Yes. There are six wheelchair accessible seats available for each performance. Please call Manager of Patron Services Audrey Fennell at 412-454-9107 for more information.
