Student Division (Ages 7+)

Students follow their joy of ballet, learning long-lasting skills along the way.

In the Student Division, dancers are challenged to strengthen their ballet technique while learning ballet repertoire and other dance disciplines. Student Division dancers perform in the school’s annual Spring Performance and some students may have the opportunity to perform in company performances at the Benedum Center.*

PBT School is preparing to resume activities for the fall 2020 semester with the health and wellness of our community as the top priority. Our planning has been informed by guidance from local, state and federal public health authorities, as well as applicable orders and regulations from the governor and relevant federal agencies. Given the evolving nature COVID-19 recommended guidance, please understand that we will be constantly responding to continuing developments. Updates will be communicated by email and through our website. We all must commit to the actions and precautions we can take as individuals to protect our PBT community. It will require all of us to show care for their friends, peers, colleagues and neighbors to keep our community healthy. For more information on our latest COVID-19 response and procedures visit the School’s COVID-19 Health Update.

For the Fall 2020 semester, some levels will have the option of in-studio or virtual classes. For those levels for which in-studio classes are offered, class sizes will be limited in following health and safety guidelines. If in-studio classes have filled up, students may sign up for the virtual class option of their level. Please note that students enrolled in the virtual class option may not transfer to in-studio classes until all classes have resumed in-studio.

All classes will begin on September 8, 2020 and all classes will be virtual for the first 3 weeks, during which time class attendance is required by all students regardless of virtual or in-studio enrollment.

Registration for the 2020-21 school year is NOW OPEN!

  • New students are required to take a placement class prior to enrolling. Complete the Level Placement form and a school representative will contact you to schedule a placement class.
