Community Programs & Classes

Connect with ballet in your backyard.

PBT’s education team brings ballet into neighborhoods throughout the greater Pittsburgh region for creative movement and storytelling sessions and interactive demos. These programs provide an up-close look at ballet dancers, training and technique, illuminating the many nuances of movement and encouraging people of all ages to use dance to create, express and explore.

At the Library

Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre is proud to partner with Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County libraries to visit local branches throughout the Pittsburgh region. “Dance the Story” is our fun, interactive program that mingles storytelling and movement. Children learn basic ballet positions and then journey into a story and its characters through movement.  For boys and girls, grades Pre-K thru 5. Please contact the host library for registration.
