Sam DerGregorian

Corps de Ballet

Sam DerGregorian is from Albuquerque, New Mexico where he trained at La Mesa Dance Academy under the direction of Cecelia Jaramillo. He was also a member of the New Mexico Ballet Company where he performed in local productions. Sam has attended summer programs such as Pacific Northwest Ballet, Miami City Ballet, Ballet Chicago, and Walnut Hill School for the Arts. In 2017, he moved to Seattle, Washington where he trained in the Professional Division of Pacific Northwest Ballet and had the opportunity to perform alongside the company in productions such as George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Ronald Hynd’s The Sleeping Beauty. Sam also performed in new works by Christopher D’Ariano, Amanda Morgan, Sarah Pasch, and Callista Ruat for PNB’s Next Step program. He then joined Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre in 2019 where he has performed in pieces such as Helen Pickett’s Petal, 3-6 7 8,  Nacho Duato’s Duende, as well as various corp de ballet roles. In 2023, he had the opportunity to walk in the Laced/Unlaced Fashion Show wearing gowns by House of Couture Designs to benefit the Pittsburgh Opera.
