Gabrielle Thurlow

A native of Buffalo, New York, Gabrielle Thurlow joined Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre in 2007 and was promoted to soloist in 2014. She received her training from PBT School, where she participated in the Graduate Program, and Neglia Conservatory of Ballet in Buffalo. She also has studied at various summer programs, including School of American Ballet and American Ballet Theatre in New York. Her featured roles with PBT have included a Bomb Squad dancer in Twyla Tharp’s In the Upper Room, Kitri in PBT’s Don Quixote, Gamzatti in La Bayadère, Gulnare in Le Corsaire, Wendy and Tinker Bell in Jorden Morris’ Peter Pan, and Marie and the Sugar Plum Fairy in Terrence S. Orr’s The Nutcracker. Her repertoire also includes William Forsythe’s In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated; Jerome Robbins’ The Concert; Jiří Kylián’s Petite Mort and Sinfonietta; and George Balanchine’s Western Symphony and Serenade.
