PBT is committed to our mission to perpetuate excellence in the art of ballet through performances, superior training of student dancers, and varied Arts Education and Community Engagement initiatives.
With a ballet repertoire that ranges from the classic to the contemporary, PBT draws 70,000 dance enthusiasts to a five-production season in Pittsburgh's Downtown Cultural District each year and reaches thousands more through touring performances at regional and national venues. Our affiliated PBT School offers a fertile training ground for the ballet talent of the future. Young dancers, many of whom receive scholarships or tuition support, benefit from superior training side-by-side with PBT's professional company. Beyond the stage and studio, our Arts Education programs foster creative exploration for thousands of children each year, while our Community Engagement initiatives open avenues for broad participation in the arts.
