The Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre Boutique
Staffed by dedicated, enthusiastic volunteers, the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre’s Boutique sells a variety of ballet-related merchandise in the Gift Shop and lobby areas of the Benedum Center during Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre performances.
The experience of working in the Benedum Center at performance time is exciting and fun. Knowing that they are an integral part of the Boutique’s success, volunteers have commented that the experience has been “invigorating!”, “fast-paced”, and “a great way to support the arts”. An additional benefit volunteers enjoy is the opportunity to see the PBT’s performance on the day that they work at the Boutique.
PBT is actively seeking volunteers to sell merchandise during PBT performances.

Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre Docent Program
How many pointe shoes does the PBT company go through in a year? When was the Benedum Center built? PBT docents know the answers to these and many other fascinating questions.
The docents work with the PBT Group Sales department by giving tours of the Benedum Center. A docent led tour is just one of the perks received when a group of 15 or more purchases tickets for any of PBT’s productions.
Tours cover a little bit of the history of the Benedum Center as well as showing a behind-the-scenes look at what goes on backstage. PBT docents range from full to part-time professionals and homemakers to students and retirees.
If you are interested in learning more about becoming a docent, please contact our Group Sales Department at 412-454-9129.
