Middle Road Concert Area at Hartwood Acres

Pull out your blankets and dust off your picnic baskets for PBT’s annual free performance at Hartwood Acres, Ballet Under the Stars.

5 PM Pre-Performance Family Fun
Take the kids to the park for extended family fun prior to the performance!
*Costumed characters
*Fencing demonstrations from The Three Musketeers
*Coloring and crafts by the Boyd Community Center
*Dress up booths with dancer photo opportunity
*Dance and movement activity taught by PBTS (ages 2-6)
*Balloon sculpture

7:30 PM Performance
Bring your picnic and relax on the lawn while enjoying an evening of mixed repertoire featuring Paul Taylor’s Company B and Dwight Rhoden’s Step Touch. Company B explores the realities of World War II America through the social dances of the 1940s and the swinging tunes of the Andrews Sisters. Step Touch blends your favorite doo wop hits from Charlie Thomas Drifters and Pure Gold with the dynamic choreography of Dwight Rhoden.

5 PM Picnic at Hartwood Acres
Join our Artistic Director and Company dancers up on the hill for dinner and drinks in the Hartwood tent in celebration of PBT’s 2010-2011 season. Enjoy live music, reserved seating on the lawn, and mingle with dancers pre and post performance. Tickets are $75 for this special picnic.

Each ticket includes pre-dinner cocktail hour, a three course meal paired with wine, a table-side ballet performance, live auction and endless entertainment from Studio E.

We are thrilled to announce Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre's 41st Season's Pointe in Time Ball on November 13, 2010. This year, Pittsburgh's beloved black-tie event takes place in the Grand Ballroom at the Westin Convention Center, Downtown Pittsburgh and will feature an enchanting table-side performance from our Company dancers, as well as musical entertainment from Studio E.
