The Three Musketeers with the Orchestra
October 22-24, 2010 - Benedum Center
"a rollicking fast-paced production strong on male virtuosity..."
The New York Times
It’s “all for one and one for all” in this swashbuckling tale of danger, treachery and romance. Follow the adventures of legendary swordsmen Athos, Porthos and Aramis as they foil the devious plots of Cardinal Richelieu and protect the honor of their beloved Queen Anne.
Based on Alexandre Dumas’1844 novel, the ballet is brimming with dashing swordfights, passionate pas de deux and comedic vignettes, all swept along by Giuseppe Verdi’s lush and colorful score performed live by the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre Orchestra.
