PBT is partnering with the Girl Scouts of Western Pennsylvania to provide Girl Scout members and troops with exciting programs made just for you!

Girl Scout Patch Program

Girl Scout Groups are eligible to receive a special PBT Girl Scout patch by attending a matinee of one of our productions and participating in special pre-matinee events.

Choose from one of two pre-matinee events:

• The Backstage Tour includes an up-close-and-personal look at the PBT company dancers, an in-depth look at the backstage area and a short history of the beautiful Benedum Center.
   
• Dance the Nutcracker provides a mini-ballet class at PBT Studios. This 45-minute class will introduce girls to the story, characters and movements of The Nutcracker before they attend.

Ballet FUNdamentals for Girl Scouts

PBT proudly offers an in-studio Ballet FUNdamentals just for Girl Scouts in grades K-3! This one-hour class will feature an opportunity to meet and dance with a real ballerina from the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School, learn about the history of ballet and pointe shoes and hear a ballet-related story. A light, healthy snack will be offered after the class.

This program completes steps 1-4 in the Brownie “Dancer” badge process.
