In Motion Film Series: Scrooge

Dec 2, 2012

On Christmas Eve in 1860, the stingy and cranky Ebenezer Scrooge is visited by the doomed ghost of his former partner, who shows Scrooge that life is good and time is too short. This acclaimed musical version of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, like the ballet The Nutcracker, joyously captures the Christmas spirit.
Stars: Albert Finney, Alec Guinness, and Edith Evans

Presented in collaboration with the Pittsburgh CLO.

All screenings will be at the George R. White Theatre located in the University Center (414 Wood St.). Parking is available on-street and in local parking ramps (see map below). Each screening will begin with a short lecture by a local scholar or artist about significant aspects of the film and its connection to the upcoming ballet. Immediately following each screening, PBT cordially invites you to a short reception in the lobby.
