Plunge into the unearthly realm of Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre’s Giselle with a pre-show event at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh - Downtown.  Experiment with the eerie effects of stage makeup, movement and music that push this ballet production beyond the grave. Emerge as a member of the walking undead and join in a procession to the Benedum Center, where you’ll watch the 8 p.m. Giselle production from special tweet seats. Document the undead experience along the way with apps, photos and video using equipment from The Labs @ CLP, and bring your smartphone to tweet live during the show. A limited number of portable devices also will be available at the event. Refreshments will be provided at the pre-show event.

Permission forms are necessary. Download one here or sign the night of the performance.

Join the library for a follow-up video editing session using The Labs @ CLP equipment and software to learn iMovie basics and create your own “Dance of the Undead” video on Saturday, October, 27, from 12 to 2 p.m. at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh – Main (Oakland).  Snacks will be provided.  Register online here.
