This class series for middle and high school youth with ASD and other sensory sensitivities allows participants to enter the world of The Nutcracker by learning basic ballet techniques and exploring a few dances from this holiday classic, including the Pirate sword dance and the Jack-in-the-Box dance.  Classes will be tailored to address sensory sensitivities and include gross motor movement guided by imagery in a structured studio environment. The classes will be accompanied by live piano music.

Caregivers will be allowed to observe and/or participate in the classes as desired.

The classes will take place at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre Studios (2900 Liberty Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15201). Ample parking is available in the lot directly adjacent to the studios. Click here for the link to a pre-visit guide to use in familiarizing yourself with our studio space.

Class sizes will be kept small, so please register today! Any requests for specific accommodations can be made by calling 412-454-9105.
