Kumiko Tsuji
Soloist
   

Kumiko Tsuji was born in Tokyo, Japan where she trained at the Kishibe Ballet Studio in Tokyo and later at The Royal Ballet School in London. She was the semi-finalist at the Prix de Lausanne and was a member of the Hong Kong Ballet prior to coming to PBT in 2003. After two seasons with Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre as a corps de ballet member, she was promoted to soloist for the 2006- 2007 season. Included in Kumiko's repertoire is Peasant Pas de Deux in Giselle and Pas de Trios and Blue Bird in The Sleeping Beauty. She has also performed the roles of Marie and the Sugar Plum Fairy in Terrence S. Orr's The Nutcracker.
